If you haven’t heard yet, Pantone’s color of the year is Classic Blue, and it was beautifully showcased in this minimalist meets vintage glam wedding shoot designed and styled by Betsy Barker at Walker Farms Living.
The brand new barn setting was the perfect backdrop for this elegant design in blue and white, with green accents and white blooms. The bride's Betsy Couture dress features a fun detachable skirt for an easy two looks in one! So cute! See all the highlights below and peep a closer look in the full gallery captured by Pepper Nix Photographers.
From Betsy Couture Vintage Wedding Gowns: This beautiful newly built barn was the perfect venue to highlight this years’ 2020 Pantone color of the year in a strikingly clean, modern-minimalist way. With its’ all white surroundings, keeping the palate a neutral-white with a color-pop of Classic Blue, proved to be the perfect mix!
One of my favorite china patterns, Royal Copenhagen Open Lace, with its hand painted blue motif, became the inspiration for the styling. The English Bone China plates, with their delicate lace borders provided an elegant and feminine table setting. Mixed glassware of modern crystal and vintage blue goblets paired with vintage blue glass under-plates and oversized modern iced-white chargers made a true statement of modern meets vintage. Using real sterling silver, antique hand-embroidered organza placemats and elegantly draped fabric linens created even more drama. Candlesticks and vases are clean and non-fussy. But to add some fun, we included a tiny, personal vintage crystal salt dish to each place setting!
The sleek modern-minimalist gown, The Meghan, is the epitome of sophisticated elegance with its lace halter top, keyhole back, clean lines, and fit-and-flare silhouette which falls into an exaggerated tulle train. This gorgeous gown has an unexpected twist … the skirt zips completely off, to reveal a short-sassy, dancing dress! Perfect for parties and for that fun fireworks exit!
The tiara, & earrings from Maria Elena Headpieces were the perfect pairings to add elegance and drama to the simple, clean chignon, and a stunning blue sapphire ring and micro sapphire bracelet from Morgan Jewelers were the perfect ‘something blue’.
The all-white florals were the perfect clean, unfussy touch. The true statement moment of the décor was the hanging floral installation over the dining table. Sweet, single hung white tulips drifting down, kissed the tapers and table with love. Oh, the love of the white-on-white! And, the classically elegant cascade bouquet was a statement piece on its own against the modern dress silhouette.
Wedding celebrations nowadays need a relaxing space for the couple and their guests. We made sure they would all be comfortable on leather couches with loads of clean white pillows. The blue & white area rug was a great addition as a cohesive piece for the lounge area, and the sweetheart table and a super-fun backdrop for the cake!
