Like a ray of golden sun or the zest of a freshly picked lemon, this yellow-themed inspiration shoot is sure to brighten your day. The bride wore two romantic and whimsical tulle gowns as she frolicked through this beautifully manicured garden. In addition to yellow florals, this team also incorporated fresh citrus into almost every vignette! If you're planning a spring or summer celebration, be sure to take notes.
Mya Wedding planned this gorgeous shoot and thought about absolutely every detail from the tinted glassware to the antique lounge setup for cocktail hour. Tania Chatzigontziou went wild with the florals and made sure that every inch of this wedding was dripping in bright yellow blooms. The spacious Ktima Deda was the perfect setting for this lush outdoor inspiration shoot. Aristotelis Fakiolas framed these photos so beautifully, making sure that the vibrant florals served only to highlight the bride and the wedding as a whole. Dimitris Pavlidis Films was also there to capture every part of this special day on film. You can see the entire shoot in the full gallery. Drawing inspiration from our dual Italian-Greek heritage, the Mya Wedding team has pulled together state-of-the-art elements to paint a picture full of fresh Mediterranean vibes, oozing with nostalgia and grandeur. The backdrop of our concept is the history-rich Ionian Islands, where intertwining Italian and Greek influences have crystallized in time, and are captured on the surface of seasoned antiques, local delicacies, and fine art de la table. The charismatic duo Aristotelis Fakiolas, photographer, and Dimitris Pavlidis, filmmaker, capture our elegant bride while she reviews her wedding vows; a moment full of blissful reminiscence and confidence for the future.
The shoot was hosted by Ktima Deda–a romantic, lush green estate located in Thessaloniki’s countryside in Northern Greece. Surrounded by a forest, it is full of fragrant pines, cedar, and fir trees. The domain also hosts an equestrian training center, so, proud stallions are frequently seen tottering around–they are absolutely gorgeous and one can’t help but fall in love! Our aim was to create a setting that celebrates history and heritage while offering a fresh and vibrant take on a significant life moment. To achieve this, we created a welcoming lounge space, using handcrafted furniture from the 1920s, and designed a delicious rustic-style candy bar with deserts bursting with Mediterranean flavor. These were handmade by sugar queen Sugarela, while all antiques were kindly provided by Ziara's Antiques.
The color palette is inspired by the Mediterranean sun as it dives into the Ionian sea: bright yellow, warm orange, supple ivory, while rich green engulfs everything–resembling the lush landscape of the region. The florals are a refreshing mix of garden blooms such as ranunculus, spray roses, antirrhinum, dianthus, tulips, and hydrangeas with a variety of elegant greens–pittosporum, asparagus setaceous, and pampas grass, composed by the talented Tania Chatzigontziou. Fruits native to the Ionian land–kumquats, lemons, and apricots are spread around to give a juicy pop of color.
The bride’s effortless charm, femininity, and timeless beauty were enhanced with two elegant full skirt wedding gowns and romantic/minimal hair accessories, all custom made by designer Luccia B Fotini Balabanidou, and sparkled with magnificent fine jewelry designed by Anais Kostinou. French lace, gorgeous layers of ivory tulle, captivating sleeves, handmade applique details, and stunning back-cuts paired with brilliant and precious gems were the key elements of a fresh, youthful, radiant yet enchanting look.
The dinner table consisted of a rustic banquet table, paired appropriately with the beloved white ’Napoleon’ chairs. Our Art de la Table was designed to praise Mediterranean elegance: orange-tinted wine glasses, porcelain floral-themed plates, matte golden cutlery, and candleholders, ivory linen, and candles. All complemented by fine handcrafted cut menus and name-tags in pastel-colored paper and calligraphy font, made with love by artist Manousenia. We endeavored to deliver a strong Mediterranean flavor and flair with this inspirational shoot, one that we could not have achieved without the guidance and contribution of such talented and experienced partners and wedding photographers.
