From Carolly Photography:Our vision for this summer boho shoot consisted of four main must-have elements: lush florals, backyard charm, loads of color, and a DIY canopy. There was no shortage of color as we wanted the decor to reflect the fun and bright days of summertime.
Most of our decorations and DIY materials came from an assortment of places such as World Market, Michael's, Fashion District, and Anthropologie. With a bit of elbow grease and planning, Brides everywhere can use these ideas from our boho-chic shoot and create something meaningful, unique, and entirely beautiful for their own wedding.
Bright, beautiful flowers adorned the amazing ruffled and naked cakes designed by famous pastry chef, John Park of Quenelle. To top it off, the comfortable yet elegant wedding gowns from Ruche were so swoon-worthy that we HAD to have two of them...one formal and one casual to have the best of both worlds. Ruche's bohemian bridal cap and Beloved Blooms' floral crown also couldn't have been more fitting for our theme!
To give it that whimsical romantic look, we created a canopy using pvc pipes, chiffon fabric from the Fashion district in downtown LA, and lots of greenery to give our piece that extra umph.
Keeping with the vibrancy of Mediterranean culture, we incorporated deep purples, turquoise, and corals with accents of gold throughout. We wanted a tablescape with bold colors, and found a boho-style peacock tablecloth from Urban Outfitters, the perfect canvas upon which we dressed with dinnerware and flowers. Using Anthropologie's Havana plates and glassware, our tablescape looked so rich and inviting.
