We have been planning a trip for Hawaii for the last two years. The date for our sunny vacation is still unknown, but we are determined to say "Aloha" sometime soon. When we do, we might swing by this incredible Maui wedding venue. Set behind high lava rock walls right in the middle of downtown Lahaina is the building that housed the original Old Lahaina Prison. The location now hosts weddings and parties, and is also a museum. So, you can walk around and visit the prison and learn a bit of the Lahaina history.
To give you a little taste of this enchanting venue, Opihi Love set the stage with her amazing props and style for this jailhouse wedding inspiration shoot. All captured by Hawaiian wedding photographers, Wendy Laurel & Images by Jeffrey. There are way more photos to view in the full gallery here.
Wendy Laurel created a large bar menu- an inexpensive way to add drama to your bar. Since the prison was the backdrop she came up with great signature drink names, and Miss B Calligraphy showcased her creative chalkboard talents.
Opihi Love and Wendy Laurel played homage to the prison by using black and white linens, the chain on back of the chairs and the vintage style bottles and props.
