Is there anyone out there that sort of misses the wonder of a wintery day now that the sun is out and flowers are popping up right and left? Well this post is just for you! Shalynne Imaging Photography along with many of her close vendor friends put together this magical winter wedding inspiration that will inspire you to add a little snowy sparkle to your big day. And don't forget to stop by the full gallery here to see even more glistening details.
From Shalynne Imaging Photography:I wanted to create an elopement styled shoot set in the winter that was not as traditional as most. I wanted it flowy, but almost colorless. Just like the snow: It blankets the ground and anything it touches in total white. But it sparkles in the light! We accented a very neutral palette with just that idea. And the feeling we created in our small space was something I wanted to hang out in all day.
We knew the weather would likely be crummy and we only had two weeks to curate our visions; but when I showed up to the shoot, and walked with Ashley from Ashley Nicole Events through the set-up, I was nearly left to tears. From the ridiculously gorgeous hair and makeup, to the intricate designs on the cake, the dreamy, tulle wedding gowns, to the dainty, glistening headpieces, the delicately beautiful calligraphy, the most perfectly snow-laden venue, and the custom, reupholstered furniture for our lounge...yes, I was on cloud nine.
At first I hadn't intended on shooting an elopement. The model, who, yes, just had that beautiful baby girl three months prior, has been a long-time friend of mine. We've shot together so many times I've lost count and I just wanted to photograph her and her daughter. But then I thought that flowers would add something magical, so I called Robyn from Bare Root Flora. Her designs are just unmatched! And after meeting up with her for coffee, one thing led to another, and suddenly I was emailing what seemed like a small army of vendors to work with.
I could NOT have asked for more from all the amazing women (yes, they were all women!) who helped bring my ideas to life. And while there were many ideas, my initial vision was just to shoot a small mommy and baby session with one of my best friends. I wanted it whimsical, soft, romantic, and full of love.
