A styled wedding shoot - inspired by the colors of the coast and held at the Nizuc Resort & Spa - was the perfect luxurious beach getaway to escape the bitter cold of winter. Awarded as one of the best resorts in Cancun, the fine lines of the architectural buildings in conjunction with the warmth of the sand gave this styled shoot all the "romantic getaway" feels that anyone could ever imagine. Marissa from Mon Soleil hosted this shoot alongside other vendors, including: Hope Nguyen Photography, Anna Le Pley Taylor (florals), La Fleur Weddings (planning), Face Of Virtue (makeup), and others. The simplicity of the ocean view and beach rocks created the perfect backdrop for the bride and groom’s wedding ceremony, which was held on the beach and used as the setting for their sunset portraits. Two notable details: The bride's unique shoes and clever use of poufs as ceremony seating. The navy and beachy earth tones created a coastal inspiration from head to toe, water to sand. The neutral florals allowed the natural elements to stand out in the most elegant way possible. It was truly a setting to die for in terms of its organic beauty.
ADVICE FOR YOUR BIG DAY
The best advice to any bride or groom looking to have a beachy wedding is to use the sea breeze to your advantage. In particular, when it comes to selecting the wedding dress and veil, select pieces of long fabric that will blow in the wind. For this shoot, the bride’s long, sheer veil and the train of her dress blew effortlessly in the wind as she smiled and kissed her husband while saying “I do.” It tied perfectly together with the idea of an intimate wedding getaway.
