By Ashley Lynn Baumgartner: From delightful gelato to celebrating the colors and taste of limoncello, you are immediately transported to the Italian countryside. It isn’t until you walk the line of maple trees as you approach this stunning venue that you realize you’re actually in the valley of Northern California.
Nestled between the countryside and miles of farmland, The Maples Wedding and Event Center provided the perfect ranch meets Italian countryside venue to bring our limoncello-inspired Italian Summer Editorial to life. From the gorgeous private estate house to the lawns and rose gardens, decomposed granite fireplace and the pool, any bride has a plethora of options to make the space her own. And that’s exactly what we wanted to do on this beautiful summer day.
Inspired by the taste and colors of Italian limoncello, we wanted to create an unforgettable dining experience for guests through the magic of thoughtful design. Lemons, crisp blues, simplistic lines, everything was hand selected intentionally to transport our audience. Overflowing greens with lemon accents covered the decomposed granite fireplace, creating a romantic backdrop for an intimate ceremony. A modern tablescape by Events by Rebecca provided the perfect mix of Italy’s limoncello inspired colors, simple linens from La Tavola, a pop of romance with gold accent rentals from Stella Rental, and colorful florals by Bella Nozze for alfresco dining. Lemon inspired dinnerware with pops of blue and yellow from calligraphy place cards on real tile from the Natural Stone Design Gallery created an intimate and unique experience for each guest. And we cannot forget dessert. On a warm summer day, guests were treated to vegan gelato from Conscious Creamery as well as gelato pops, perfect for dessert or favors out of their custom gelato cart.
