La Rondinaia was once the private paradise of the famous American writer and screenwriter Gore Vidal and now it is an exclusive resort ready to host luxurious events. On the Amalfi Coast, literally in a "nest" of swallows (hence the name), embedded in the cliff. With its enviable position, its wide-open spaces, and its exclusive suites, all overlooking the sea, La Rondinaia is one of the most evocative, secret, and exclusive corners of the Amalfi coast.
The villa represents an architectural example of genius, beauty, and views. It is now elegantly restored and furnished and it welcomed celebrities such as Tennessee Williams, Princess Margaret of England, Hillary Clinton, Paul Newman, Susan Sarandon, William Clarck Styron, Leonard Bernstein, Andy Warhol, Jane Woodward, Tim Robins, Peter O'Toole, Sting, Rudolf Nureyev, Mick and Bianca Jagger and many others.
Thanks to this inspirational shoot we decided to guide you on a wonderful discovery. At La Rondinaia art, culture, history, and beauty meet the most exclusive hospitality of the Amalfi Coast.
The interiors are characterized by ancient Vietri ceramic floors, customized furnishings and large arched windows from where you can marvel looking at how gracefully the sky and sea are reflected in each other.
With its large outdoor spaces: gardens, terraces, tree-lined avenues, the Villa represents the ideal place for refined and exclusive events. Immerse yourself in the extraordinary coastal landscape and let yourself be captivated by the multiple shades of the crystal clear sea!
The shooting has been designed thanks to the partnership between Danila Minetto, owner of DAMA Wedding - a full-service event planning company, specialized in the organization of destination weddings in Italy and Stefano Snaidero founder of Inesse Handmade Photography, a well-established team of qualifying and talented professionals, highly committed to immortalizing high-class weddings through Italy.
We designed the decorations of the ceremony on a terrace overlooking the sea. This time we decided to use golden circular elements to symbolize the cyclicity of life and infinite love. To enrich everything, Giovanni Castellano - flower designer - has created compositions of great charm and romantic modern touch.
The floral arrangements, as well as the bouquet, had the right balance between dry and fresh flowers so much to emphasize the elegance and sophistication. The bouquet was tied by a teal lace ribbon that was in perfect harmony with the coastal setting that breathed. It was the symbol not only of the union of flowers but also of the couple and matching the shades of the sky and the sea.
The evocative atmosphere perfectly matches with the romance that Priscilla Da Silva, a wedding celebrant from a AcostaAmalfitana, likes to create. She skifully rewrites the couple's story, through a personalized and intimate ritual.
As for the table, we bet on contrasts: in the middle the runner in blue teal organza laid on an ivory tablecloth, the gold cutlery combined with the delicacy of transparent and light blue crystal glasses and the coral charm peonies combined with candles in different shades of blue.
To complete the mise en place a touch of style thanks to the stationery of great impact and modernity made by Sara Pratesi.
Due to the collaboration of Stefano Snaidero, the shooting has acquired a higher level with Peter Langner’s gowns. He generously lent us three of his magnificent creations. Each of them very different from others in line and materials. The first dress called “July”, a large pink powder gown in pleated tulle and bodice finely embroidered with palette inlays of the same nuance.
To enhance this dress we opted for a sleek updo which gives the model a modern and glamorous appeal. The second dress "April" was an example of romance and modernity. It was embellished with floral applications and lace sleeve slid.
Last but not least, our model wore the magnificent dress "Ocean" was characterized by simple lines, but in coque organza with a rich and elaborate texture. It was worn with natural hair down and light makeup. This beautiful hair and make-up were taken care of by Alessandro Mancino. The combined accessories have been changed for each dress; our model Francesca wore elegant handicraft jewelry made by the coral museum of Ravello.
