As most of you out there know we adore the color peach, it makes us feel relaxed and happy. So, we could not resist showing you this inspirational shoot captured by Stephanie Godfrey Photography and designed by Itty Bitty Party Committee.
They based their entire shoot around the famous novel James and the Giant Peach. How fun is that? You can read more from Stephanie below and see all the images in the full gallery here.
Who can resist the whim & whimsy of James and the Giant Peach? The color pallet alone made for a beautiful setting! Roald Dahl's classic story of a boy about to embark on the adventure of a lifetime was the inspiration for our theme. A favorite childhood book, we wanted to incorporate all the small fantastical elements from the story: weathered metal from being at sea, the cast of the insect characters James befriended, the string that was tied to seagulls to lift the giant peach over the ocean, and of course...the peaches!
We had envisioned an intimate small desserts/tea setting with the addition of elements that would create a larger than life feel. Make the ordinary extraordinary! Stacking vintage books atop rustic styled furniture, wild-ethereal floral arrangements, and the orchard setting brought it all to life! The vision was that of Itty Bitty Party Committee. One Handspun Daymade the Mr and Mrs signs and the lace butterfly that are in the peaches. She also made the lace bug drink stirrers.
