A styled shoot for creating beauty in unexpected places. This industrial venue is absolutely breathtaking with the original 19th-century wooden floors and styled beautifully with soft textures and fluffy florals. With the decaying industrial space, a sequinned Berta gown, and extensive florals this styled shoot is absolutely overflowing with gorgeous inspiration.

Rebecca Marie Weddings & Events planned every detail of this wedding inspiration and Sassflower created all of these incredible florals you'll see throughout at Atlas Studios. The concept that inspired the shoot was the need to always be in the pursuit of beauty, even in the most unexpected of places. Atlas Studios is a historic, Victorian mill. Whilst it retains incredible original 19th century wooden and slate-floored areas, the original paint is peeling from the walls and the environment is undoubtedly decaying. Stylist, Rebecca Marie Weddings & Events, wanted to take this raw space and show how you can transform it to achieve a high-end, modern and beautiful setup. She advises contrasting a harsh space with soft textures and fluffy botanicals to bring new life to crumbling settings.
Although the florals brought a freshness to the space, Sassflower created an installation of delicate white flowers, lush green botanicals and dried foliage which encased the cast iron pillars as if they had organically grown there.
Our bride, Claudia, is an advocate for embracing your natural hair so of course she rocked her gorgeous curls. Daniella Ingle created a natural, glowy look which showed off Claudia’s flawless skin and beautiful smile. The stunning Berta gown was a huge statement all on its own, so her look was completed with simple yet elegant earrings from The Vamoose. Bentsil wore a muted suit which complimented the high-end look.
The focal point of the vast space was impressive tablescape which was overflowing with romantic tapered candles, soft linens in muted tones and yet more stunning florals in green, white & shades of beige. Gray Starling Designs created a simple & elegant stationery suit which featured warm muted tones and a modern script. The metal chairs from Blue Sky Events Hire and the structural look of the cake were both a subtle nod to the studio’s industrial past.
Photographing Claudia & Bentsil in this space and setup was incredible. They had a natural connection and quiet confidence in themselves and each other which was beautiful to witness as well as photograph. The venue is filled with natural light which I used to capture the details of the setup as well as every glance, touch and smile shared between the bride & groom.
