From Dark Pony Designs: Next level color palette and runway inspired looks for the bride and groom give this dreamy inspired shoot a modern romantic style. This inspired shoot included many local artists and vendors from the Northern California area. Our team featured several handmade items including: a high fashion wedding dress from Dark Pony Designs, a handmade bowtie from Gold Coast Goods, several handmade jewelry items, and all natural luxury wedding soap favors that were made with olive oil from the trees featured in the photos.
In addition we wanted to feature a unique color pallet to inspire fall wedding planners. From copper to fuchsia, and black to burgundy, the rich tones of fall fashion are on full display.
We were also fortunate enough to have a Signature Drink : “Champagne and Flowers” created by Tanya Stedman of local restaurant Moonstone Bistro. Below is how she describes these beautiful drinks:
I wanted to create a simple cocktail about romance and eternal love! Not too complicated; Brides and Grooms and everybody in-between are busy, so no muddling, fancy mixers, or too many, hard to find ingredients!. I started with vodka as a base spirit, since it a great, neutral spirit. Hangar One Mandarin Blossom Vodka has an amazing aroma and flavor, and St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur is just sexy. Cointreau is a delicately balanced orange and herbal liqueur, and keeps the drink interesting. I chose one mixer: Pomegranate! I love its deep ruby-red color, antioxidant properties and health benefits. I highly recommend freshly squeezed; the color is fantastic, but PomWoderful is also great and widely available. My husband and I got married in Costa Rica, where Ylang-Ylang flowers grow wild along the road, so my entire bridal bouquet was Ylang-Ylang flowers. It is an aphrodisiac, antidepressant, antiseptic, and lowers blood pressure. In India, it is tradition to spread Ylang-Ylang flowers on the bed of newlywed couples. It’s the essential element to incorporate into our bridal cocktail. A little goes a long way, so I mixed it with DoTerra Wild Orange essential oil. Top it with cold, crisp bubbly: and there you have the perfect Champagne and Flowers!
Recipe:
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice, and add: 1 part Hangar One Mandarin Blossom Vodka | 1 part St. Germaine Elderflower Liqueur | 1 part Cointreau | 2 parts Pomegranate Juice (Freshly squeezed is highly recommended!)
Shake hard until the cocktail shaker is so cold you can’t hold onto it anymore.
Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Top with cold, crisp champagne. Spritz with Ylang-Ylang / Wild Orange diffusion.
Garnish with flowers from the bridal bouquet.
