Looking to make a splash with your wedding guests? Have you thought about setting up a "grazing table"? Not sure what that is? Well, we will let our partners in this post, Bijou's Sweet Treats, fill you in!
"The grazing style table showcases an over-the-top opulence made with flat and low-height desserts in a fanned design. With occasional stacks of desserts and a few tiers and stands for height and to draw the eyes' attention to certain aspects of the table, the design nods to these elements and encourages to step back and look at the table as a whole before a more thorough close inspections of all the flavors, colors, and deliciousness."
It sounds amazing right! Well, keep scrolling to find out more about this impressive new wedding day trend and to satiate your visual sweet tooth. We also have more for you to see in our full gallery thanks to the talented Alexa Ann Photography.
The most epic dessert grazing table to date with over 16 feet of custom desserts crafted by
Bijou's Sweet Treats, one of Virginia's best wedding cake studios and a trendsetter for amazing dessert grazing table! Grazing tables are so hot in the wedding scene right now, so this team of innovative and creative professionals opted to style a wedding around the Roman Bacchanal Feast. The very first thing was to showcase the difference between a dessert table and a dessert grazing table. Bijou's has done a wide variety of custom dessert tables for weddings over the years and while each is amazing and unique in its own way, the grazing style table showcases an over-the-top opulence.
All of the baked goods are custom made from
Bijou's Sweet Treats studio.
The full-sized gourmet grazing table included over a thousand pieces of dessert.
Mini wedding cakes | Full-sized and mini cupcakes | Gourmet marshmallows | Graham crackers | Chocolate | Cookies | Chocolatey brownies | Spice cake cake pops | Fluffy cake donuts | Gourmet rice krispy treats | Pillowy macarons | Mini apple hand pies | Rustic mixed berry pies | Key lime pies | Coffee panna cotta | Banana creme pie and chocolate pudding parfaits | Meringue cake | and so much more.
Once the vision for the table was settled upon, the Bijou's staff gathered together an amazing, top-notch team of vendors excited to exceed expectations and bring the table to life. Walden Hall, as a premium, luxury bed and breakfast wedding venue, was deemed the perfect setting for this table! Abby from Blakemore's Flowers was brought on to create a gorgeous set of florals, a mini pampas runner with 2 stunning displays mixing both dried and real flowers. Besides the florals for the table, Blakemore's also made 2 beautiful bridal bouquets to match the theme, one for the bride and one for her bridesmaid.
Valley Heirlooms provided the super cool low-legged farm tables, specifically designed and crafted for couples looking for a more communal and rustic feel for their wedding. Additionally, Valley Heirlooms arranged their vintage rugs stylishly beneath the tables with pillow seating to match the theme of the feast.
Alexa Ann Photography did an unbelievable job capturing the entire set up and the full mood and beauty of the shoot! The gold stands used for the shoot were from Opulent Treasures and mixed amongst some long, clear acrylic boxes from Cal-Mil. Kaylee Rose did an outstanding job with on-site hair and makeup for the models, Kristen & Meredith. Both dresses were provided by Bridal Impressions by Amanda's Touch in Harrisonburg.
The original discussion was just for an elegant and never-before-seen, over-the-top dessert table, but, with so much food for everyone to savor, Bijou's opted for drinks as well. Creating a matching drinks station with hand-crafted cocktails, Blakemore's Flowers created an explosion or dried hanging florals. The vintage drink cart and glasses were provided by Valley Heirlooms private collection and a fun, clear acrylic box from Cal-Mil provided the perfect ice station & fruit display.
Are you ready for a one-of-a-kind, stunningly unique and creative experience for your wedding? You can have this at your wedding! The full-size grazing table can feed about 500 people, depending on desserts selected and whether your guests are true sweet lovers. Still, Bijou's Sweet Treats has 3 different ways for you to have an amazing, custom grazing dessert table.
