We put together this styled shoot to create inspiration for a spring or summer bride looking for a modern twist to a classic garden wedding. Katlin and Taylor (a real-life couple) became our bride and groom. The overall designs and vision for this elopement were pulled from the natural elements of the venue. Coldwater Gardens in Milton, Florida is filled with a variety of vibrant gardens, greenhouses, aquaponics, European honey bee hives, and so much more. Focusing on the natural beauty of the venue we were able to reduce the costs of decor while embracing its natural beauty.
The ceremony was held on the lush green grass, nestled in a corner of colorful shrubs filled with butterflies and flowers. This was a perfect place for this sweet couples’ nature inspired nuptials. The honeycomb-shaped arbor was a custom piece designed specifically for this venue.
The romantic tablescape was tucked away under a cascading willow tree. The table was adorned in a natural flowing runner, and filled with honeycomb accents which pulled in the surrounding organic elements of the honey bees. A gorgeous floral centerpiece was composed of radiant flowers to give it the perfect pop of color among all of the surrounding greenery.
We went modern with a traditional black tuxedo and Stella York dress. The dress was sleek, yet simple with a low, cowl back in a draped crepe fabric. Reminiscent of Old Hollywood glamour, a court train finishes this look while fabric-covered buttons trail the length of the back and train for one final touch of elegance.
