Tarzan and Jane meets Taylor Swift's "Wildest Dreams" music video... This styled bridal editorial is one of MY wildest dreams come true. Teaming up with Jennifer of Love Events by Jen, I was able to make my dream shoot a reality. We wanted this editorial to be different and most importantly FUN! I mean, we were getting to hang out at the cutest little petting zoo, how could it not be?! So we went to work recruiting all these amazing vendors to make this all happen!
The Bridal Cottage is my forever go-to for gowns. Lindy and her girls are always so helpful and helped me choose both of these gorgeous classic dresses for Jade to wear. When it came to hair and makeup we had to have that classic vintage vibe Taylor Swift had in her video so I teamed up with my favorite stylist, Brittanie Wallace. Brittanie worked her usual magic: we went with big soft curls, neutral eyeshadow with a winged liner and that classic 50's bold red lip and Jade looked radiant!
When it came to our models, Jade was the obvious choice! She looked just like Jane and had that natural beauty we needed to pull this off. Cole, stepped in last minute and saved this shoot... And come on, it's not every day you get to photograph a Survivor contestant! He was the perfect man for this shoot.
We wanted wild and unruly florals that looked as if they were plucked straight from the jungle, Kelly from A Perfect Bloom captured that perfectly with this messy but beautiful bouquet and centerpiece! And can we talk about those giant palm and banana leaves with calligraphy?
The Paper Supply Co hand wrote those with the most delicate of touches and I am obsessed with them.
Rebecca of Rebecca Green Design went above an beyond with our paper goods. Yall, she HANDMADE that leather envelope and it is absolute perfection!
When it came to a cake, we wanted something non-traditional. The Blue Cake Company did an amazing job at coming up with something unique and beautiful to fit our wild styled shoot!
