Stationery details were extensive and elaborate - Mariah of MJ Creative Co. hand-lettered this custom suite with deep greens in mind and an organic, romantic feel.
Casey & Carlos took turns reading their personal vows out loud, finished with the adornment of her floral wedding ring. Laurel, of Bloom Floral & Design, really ‘brought it’ that day. From her stunning, modern woodland bridal bouquet, highlighting a king protea, to the ridiculous fairy shoes she, quite literally, conjured up. And with a floral necklace & ring to match; it was all incredibly inventive.
We worked on a bud vase installation as a ceremony centerpiece. Instead of the typical bud blooms, we donned it with earthy greens from the county woods.
The meringue mushrooms that our baker, Alexis of Yield Bakehouse, created were so authentic; and the black forest brownies were dusted with ‘mossy’ pistachio crumbs. Dessert layover hand-dyed silk linens topped with gentle beds of natural moss. She even created a floral and romantic cake that had a bit of a dark twist.
Our couple cozied in this urban dessert nook with such a sensual vibe – like fairy mischief in a Midsummer Night’s Dream. After a while, Casey & Carlos snuck off to the cream city brick-drenched alley where they snuggled up and showed each other some love.
