How to create an elegant pastel wedding was an inspirational shoot created by wedding bloggers b.loved Weddings & Southbound Bride. They wanted to create a look and feel that was versatile for several wedding venues and looked fabulous. They share, in detail, below how to use this soft color palette of romantic pastels combined with glitter glam to create a stunning event. You can seem more images in the full gallery here, photographed by Segerius Bruce Photography.

Before we dive into all the details, we must say that the gold champagne and pink wedding cocktail table was one of our favorite elements of the shoot. The bottle of Luxor Brut Gold Champagne sets the tone of the and is a definite splurge for such a special occasion. Love it!

The Color Palette:
Sparkle & Blush is a combination of soft rose and pistachio colors and pretty detailing with bold sequin textures and gold glitter. The great thing about this is that it works in any number of venues, styles and seasons, and can be adapted to suit a couple’s own personality. The combination of pastels with a bit of bling is so romantic, and is formal enough for a ballroom or hotel wedding, but fresh enough for a vineyard or country celebration. Add some rustic touches if you’re getting married on a farm, or tone down the pretty tea party crockery but maintain the color palette for a beach party. We love the stars that used on the rim of this pink wedding cocktail, below you can get similar edible gold stars here.

Tips on Creating a Sweetheart Table:
Louise from  b.loved Weddings styled a little sweetheart table for the bride and groom (love this idea, for couples who want a bit of quiet time to themselves amid the excitement of the day) as well as full tables with lovely crockery and sweet English garden-style flowers from Wildabout.

1. Keep the palette soft and fresh, with pale pinks, blush and nude tones.  For a slightly different take consider pale peach, apricot and coral hues

2. Glitter is key to this look, but be careful not to go overboard.  Incorporate softer textures such as satin ribbons and lace for an elegant romantic touch, and spread heavily glittered or sequinned items around the space to prevent a glitter overload.

3. Add interest and height to your table setting by elevating sections of your display, we used cake stands and tall candlesticks to create this effect.

4. Consider the details that tie the scheme together, canapé and drink flags add that extra thoughtful touch.

5. For a sweet touch to a sweetheart table include individual mini-versions of your main wedding cake. Like the super cute cake above from Janet Mohapi-Banks.

6. Cut-glass and colored glassware can completely transform the look of your reception tables.  Collect vintage pieces from local second-hand stores (that can be resold or used after the wedding), or hire for a hassle-free solution.

7. The same goes for vintage tea sets, keep them coordinated for a formal celebration, or mismatched for a more vintage vibe.  Use them for your champagne toast for a memorable moment in your day!

8. Prettify your place settings with favors! Add a sparkly hair clip or pair of earrings to your female guests’ place settings.

9. For a more formal wedding keep your flowers more structured, adding foliage and berries for texture.  For a relaxed, outdoor wedding ask your florist for looser, hand-tied arrangements with a slightly rustic feel.

10. Keep makeup natural with nude peachy tones, soft blush cheeks and a little color on the lips.
