Caterina Hoffmann Photography has one question for all of you... have you never been to Venice Italy? Maybe you should elope there! No seriously! This next inspiration has us wanting to grab the nearest fella and take off for some sunrise nuptials on the ultra romantic Venice canals!
Holy smokes this shoot is mind blowingly beautiful, with the early morning sun glowing off the empty streets, it is like these love birds have the whole city to themselves! You can see every last one of Caterina's photos when you visit the full gallery. It might be like going to the real Venice, but for now it will have to do.
From Caterina Hoffmann Photography: The Inspirational Shoot took place in the unique and beautiful City of Venice, in Italy. As I’m half Italian, I’ve been there a lot during my childhood and I always had a very magical feeling during my stay in this city of love. That’s the reason I picked this city for the Shoot. I wanted to create something very special and I would like to show the future brides, that there is another way of getting married, without having a big and expensive wedding with a lot of guests.
This day is just about the couple. That they have their special moments - very intimate - just the two of them in some very romantic and magical places they perhaps even have never visited together before. There was a short getting ready in the hotel. Afterwards we captured the sweetness and intimacy of this elopement during the quiet morning hours before Venice awoke. We started at Saint Mark’s Square directly near the water and then the pair walking hand in hand through the streets of Venice. We caught it at just the right time; The sun rose as the background for this celebration of love with almost nobody on the usually crowded streets of Venice.
I wanted to have a real couple for this inspiration-shoot in order to capture real and honest emotions in my images. Cecilia - also a very talented Photographer from Italy and Claudio were the perfect match for this shoot. His outfit was exactly how I imagined it.. relaxed but also elegant with a bow tie.
When I began looking for a dress I wanted something that was different from all the dresses you see all the time. Something very beautiful but also very unique, a little bit free spirited, not a big dress something smooth and soft. As far as accessories, I wanted to keep everything simple a little bit boho, but nothing to take away from the dress. I originally bought the golden feather hair pin for myself and loved the Idea of combining it with the dress. That along with the ring were the only necessary accessories I as the dress was already so eye catching.
