From Rhythm Photography: The bride’s hair and makeup pick up the ivory and soft pink colours of the roses in her bouquet. She wore two dresses: the first, a mermaid silhouette tulle gown with a romantic lace bodice for the ceremony. The second dress was a V-neck embroidered cap-sleeve gown with circular cascades of chiffon for dancing during the reception.
Invitations, which gave hints of the elegant meets rustic style of the couple, were white ink printed on kraft paper, tied with a twine bow. The couple’s name and custom monogram initials were handwritten in bold and modern calligraphy, with delicate laser cut wood antlers framing the couple’s monogram. The red envelopes lined with tartan were a nod to the groom’s Celtic heritage.
Guests would be greeted with a handwritten chalkboard seating chart and an antique gold frame displaying personalized place cards. Instead of a traditional guestbook, guests could write their well wishes on miniature scrolls and place them into a wood and metal mesh keepsake memory box for the couple.
A naked vanilla buttercream cake adorned with sugar flowers on top of a wooden pedestal was the focus of the sweet table. We thought that pies would be a great alternative to traditional cakes, so our sweet table featured a raspberry chocolate tart, a fig pie and triple berry pie pops.
