A beautiful new venue in Santa Margarita, California was the perfect location for this intimate wedding shoot. With rolling hills and golden sunlight abounding every bit of this bohemian styled day felt cozy and carefree.
Below you will find a chic late summer floral installation idea for your wedding ceremony, a sweet little cake lounge, oh and did we mention there are tipi tents! Keep scrolling to see more and as always, all of the photos from Ashley Rae Studio can be found in our full gallery.
The objective of this shoot was two-fold. First, to showcase an incredible and unique new wedding venue launching this year - Riata Ranch in Santa Margarita, California. This venue is nestled between golden California hills and is peppered with beautiful oak trees providing shade for the local farm cattle and horses. The property boasts an immaculate, 5 bedroom modern farmhouse with a pool and lounge area for bridal parties and to enjoy their entire wedding weekend. Close to the farmhouse, there are a brand new set of modern Swedish Tipis for reception use. Bistro lights have been hung over this beautiful area, with fresh stretches of lawn that can be used for cocktail hour and/or a ceremony.
Second, we were intent on showcasing a local pottery artist, Christine Silbau with Back Bay Pottery in this inspiration shoot. All the pottery pieces you see in this shoot, from the dinnerware to the vow plates, to the ceramic vases used in the floral ceremony circle arch, have been hand thrown, glazed, and fired by Christine and are available for wedding rentals throughout California.
This shoot was put together by Elyse Rowen, an experienced and talented wedding planner, designer, and stylist based out of San Luis Obispo, California. The fine art imagery and highlight film were captured and produced by Ashley Rae Studio, a destination wedding photography and cinematography company based out of California.
