I was initially inspired for this styled shoot by the collaborative nature of a charcuterie board. By their very nature, they turn food into a fun, interactive experience, and I began to think about what a wedding would look like where it was the centerpiece and inspiration. A couple’s love story began to form in my mind and the rest fell effortlessly into place.
Growing up, the bride’s childhood home sat on lots of green acres. It was the hub for family get-togethers and nurtured her love for hosting events. That tradition followed her to college, and her apartment quickly became the spot where all her friends gathered. At one of her get-togethers, her friend brought the man she would eventually marry. Having grown up in a household with a tight-knit family, he fell in love with the way the bride opened her home to others and made them feel welcome.
Their wedding would ultimately be a reflection of that. Their family and close friends arrive that morning to find beautiful green pastures, much like where the bride grew up. The bride's flowers look as if they had been picked right out of the farm’s garden and fields. The cake is simple, almost as if it was baked at the farmhouse. In the center of the lawn, their guests gather around a table that’s covered end-to-end by an overflowing brunch charcuterie board full of farm-fresh food. It’s here where everyone would spend their time talking and sharing story after story about the couple and their love. An intimate wedding where the couple is surrounded by what’s most important to them: family, friends, and the atmosphere of togetherness.
