Florals play an integral part in any wedding, and there are so many fun ways to incorporate them. Towering floral arches and hanging floral installations are having their moment, but this team decided to take the opposite route, they decided to get low (with the florals). For the ceremony, they created a stunning floral half-circle on the ground to frame the couple and take advantage of the gorgeous natural backdrop. Keeping with the theme, they opted for low sprawling florals that stretched the length of the main reception table. Overall, you get the same drama as the taller arrangements, but they bring a sense of gravity and ground the design.
Ashley Brooke Weddings and Events had the unique honor of working with Willow Acres for their very first styled shoot! They were in charge of the design and curating a team of talented vendors to best showcase the space, and they delivered! Bloom designed these stunning florals. Tina Wiebe Photography captured every beautiful detail and how the natural light spills into this grand new space. To see even more from this shoot, check out the full gallery. When Willow Acres approached me about assisting them with their first-ever styled shoot, I couldn't say "yes!" fast enough! I had been following their building journey on social media and knew that this was a venue that I would love to work with. The rural venue offers bright white board and batten walls, gorgeous white chandeliers, and big huge picture windows and it is a stunning canvas to create a memorable event! When it comes to picking a venue, couples should look for a venue that reflects their style, color palette, and vision for their wedding, and this particular venue will work perfectly for so many couples.
We started putting together our dream vendor list for this styled shoot, which is one of the first things I tell all of my couples to do, or at least prioritize what type of vendors are most important. In this case, we knew that we really wanted to go big on all accounts and use it as an opportunity to show potential couples what this venue has to offer. We used some vendors local to the area such as Bloom for the flowers, Tina Wiebe Photography, Livienne Bridal, Fringe Salon, and Sara Claire Artistry, and then incorporated some vendors from the city as well such as Collective Rentals for the tableware, Planned Perfectly for the linens, Something Borrowed, Parasayo, Sweet Impressions, Just Create By MJ for the stationery, Cookies by Catherine, and White Willow Co. for the beautiful velvet ring boxes.
We went with a classic color palette of blush, sage, and gold and styled multiple tables, ceremony locations, and a few other vignettes around the venue. All of our vendors took our vision and truly went above and beyond! This venue has so much to offer their couples and I feel truly honored to have been able to be part of this historic shoot, I'm already itching to get back in there for a real wedding! The owners are the kindest and most sincere couple and I wish them nothing but the best as they start this next chapter for the venue!
