Finding the right wedding venue is one of the hardest parts of wedding planning, but once you find that perfect space, everything else starts to come together. This team set out to create a French-inspired shoot and they knew they needed something vintage, something palatial and they went on a quest to find it. When they finally found Le Chateau Rose , they knew it was the one. Then came the difficult task of finding a gown to match because if it's not fashion, it's not French, n'est pas? So, when you are on the lookout for the perfect venue, make sure you give it time, ask around, and don't be afraid to look in some unexpected places–you never know what you may find. Whimsically Wed designed and organized this dreamy shoot. Fleur Gabrielle kept the florals light and airy for the bouquet to keep the focus on the bride's billowing silk gown. Two Fourteen Photography followed the couple as they explored this unique location and captured every whimsical moment. Keep reading to hear more about how this team found this fabulous venue!
We wanted to do a European or French-inspired editorial. We had this vision of a bride running through a field with a palace in the backdrop. Living in Los Angeles that was pretty hard to find...and we were lucky to come across Le Chateau Rose which provided a stunning backdrop for this romantic French-inspired editorial. We wanted to do something classic and elegant. Le Chateau Rose is a private estate in the Holmby Hills in Beverly Hills and was built with Queen Marie Antionette’s summer palace in Versailles France as inspiration. It was very extravagant so we wanted to make sure that we didn’t go over the top with the colors.
We chose white florals with a hint of pink, some of the flowers used were Geranium leaves, Clooney Ranunculus, White Majolica spray roses, and flowering pink dogwood branches. We also did an effortless and natural elegant look for the hair and makeup. What else would go better with a French-inspired summer palace other than a stunning Monique Lhuillier dress? The Theodora Monique Lhuillier dress was perfect for the vision we had and was absolutely stunning. It also paired well with the groom’s all-black tux from Friar Tux. We loved everything about this shoot. From the venue’s architecture to the bride and groom’s attire. We really wouldn’t change a thing!
