It turns out that an elopement in Spain is every bit as romantic as you'd think it would be! First...the setting: terracotta rooftops as far as the eye can see warmed by the gold Mediterranean sun, subtle olive greens, and timeless Spanish architecture. This team used their location to its fullest and kept this elopement cool and laid back by playing up flirty details like bows and sequins. A little juxtaposition is always good when it comes to wedding design. If all of your elements are super formal, it could end up feeling stuffy, if everything is bright and whimsical it could end up feeling a little forced. This shoot manages to strike the perfect balance!
The venue, Cap Vermell Grand Hotel, is perfectly manicured without being fussy. And while it clearly took a lot of planning to execute this dreamy shoot, from these candid photos by Ana Lui, it's clear that the couple didn't have a care in the world. Saussure Weddings & Events designed and executed this inspiration shoot and Floristeria La Rosaleda created all of the beautiful florals you'll see throughout. This editorial shoot took place in one of the most luxurious hotels in Spain and was inspired by the enchanting Mediterranean landscape of the Balearic Islands, creating the perfect dreamy destination wedding. Planned and designed by Saussure Weddings & Events, the elopement expressed a deep feeling of romance with a graceful, understated, elegant, yet modern style that was captured by the talented fine art photographer Ana Lui. The color palette for this spring editorial was romantic blush and peach tints with hints of gold, perfectly suited to a classic Mediterranean setting, surrounded by olive groves and spectacular views.
After hair & makeup were beautifully executed by Rebecca Spendlove, the bride and groom basked in their love around the lush gardens, enjoying the Majorcan sunshine. We love the idea of the French-style bench, so effortlessly romantic and adorned with pink shaded florals in baskets, and greenery details created by Floristeria La Rosaleda. Our bride was wearing a glamourous sequin dress made by Daalarna, diaphanous wings by Rebecca Anne Designs, shoes by Bella Belle Shoes, and beautiful pair of earrings by Luxnoria Boutiques.
Decor elements for this shoot were provided by Tot A Punt. The hand-calligraphed invitation suite and day-of-details by Paige & Co set the tone for the intimate elopement. Intertwined with the floral details, they made for an elegant and impactful combination. Annabelle and Joshua then shared a piece of a jaw-dropping cake designed by Anita Cakes. The delicious cake, which was truly a work of art, was placed on an antique cart in front of an impressive pink stone wall.
They then headed back to the presidential suite to get ready for the reception. The love birds shared a glass of champagne and it was the perfect moment to capture the couple’s romance. Our bride then slipped in the most stunning dress by Daalarna couture. We loved the combination of the pink shaded skirt and the romantic top.
The evening kicked off with a reception on the terrace overlooking the sunset, and we were dazzled by the coolness of this intimate dinner table–romantic yet so modern. Elegant cream candles were lit in modern and contemporary glass holders, enlightening the shades of the elegant blush, orange, and peach-tinted florals. Tables were adorned with ghost chairs and unique crystal glassware, which completed the freshness and modernity of the set-up for this spring elopement.
