This shoot was inspired by many of the winery and rustic style weddings that happen in late fall and centers around showcasing another way to use this style while in a more urban location. To pull it off they focused the style around being soft and romantic with natural materials but with an old Hollywood edge.
To make things even more unique they broke the traditional orange and red fall look, and used jewel tones and agate hues. See more of the lovely details from this Fall wedding with a modern edge in the full gallery here, photographed by Stephanie Messick Photography.
From Cherry Blossom Events: We have lots of clients who are drawn to the natural feel of a winery and maybe other natural elements like a barn or old home but also want their wedding to have an upscale and unique look. Elegance is still important at these weddings, so the Lorien Hotel and Spa is the perfect combination of stylish, modern elements with rustic accents, fireplace feature and charming private outdoor patios. The invitation suite from Paperzest was simple with the focus on the fonts and colors with a touch of lace as a band securing it together.
We worked with many vendors on interesting pieces. We fell in love with the vintage glassware, barware and bar cart from The Hour Shop in Alexandria and used their fabulous pieces throughout. We then used other gold accents but mixed it with deep, rich colors, angular designs with the deep wood farm table and screen.
We encourage clients to play with colors and textures with their wedding. Here, we used a more traditional pattern for the base plated but used custom agate place cards that are different shapes and colors but many each guest feel unique and special. We went heavy on the gold for this as it’s warmer and more dramatic and compliments the rustic accents. Vintage gold rimmed glassware, gold bar cart and glasses helped to achieve this. The colors and textures in the flowers makes it all pop!
