This incredible wedding inspiration was a result of a photography workshop hosted by Half Orange Photography and designed by 36th Street Events. Taking inspiration from the chic, effortless French style depicted in the movie Chocolate, they created a simple yet elegant setting for their photo shoot Don't be fooled into thinking they spent a fortune on the decorations — all of the decor came from what they had available, could find locally, and were able to create themselves. Be sure you don't miss a single exquisite detail of this European garden wedding inspiration by visiting the full gallery here, all captured by Half Orange Photography.
From the Vendors:One of the main themes that developed as we worked on this styled shoot was to "work with what you have." Our venue was a private residence that our event planners knew of, which goes to show you how glamorous a backyard wedding can be.
Many of the details (the china, some of the serving plates, etc.) used throughout the shoot were found a local thrift stores like Goodwill, and some were borrowed from family members. Many other details, like the swing and the sign, were inspired by Pinterest and made by hand. Our bridesmaid dresses were inexpensive finds from Dillard's, and the wedding dress was used.
Even that gorgeous wedding cake came from Whole Foods, which you can imagine is infinitely more budget friendly than most wedding cakes. We're so pleased with how a glamorous and European a low-budget wedding can really look. It's all about taking stock of what's available to you and getting creative with your local resources!
