I wanted nature to do the talking and provide an intimate but yet inviting and elegant setting.
One of the objectives was to create a harmony between the rich forest colors of fall while integrating greenery, red, black, teal and a hint of gold for a subtle contrast. We carried out that subtlety by adding a little nature element which was the butterfly.

I wanted to have a natural black bride in a non typical setting ( the stereotype associates black brides to glamour, bling bling etc. ) so I wanted to step away from that. That venue is actually a sugar shack, a sugar shack is a building where sap from a sugarbush is boiled down to make maple syrup. What I absolutely love doing is transforming an obvious decor into something unexpected. So I did a rustic glam in the middle of the woods ! Even the sweet station was in the middle of the woods to have that unexpected view. I also love to play with different color combinations because I don't like to follow trends.
