With four different gowns at the same stunning venue, this team from Florida shows just how much switching up the fashion for a wedding can transform a space. From whimsical tulle numbers in champagne and bright blue to dreamy corseted gowns with lace details, this lakeside venue can easily go from romantic to high-fashion. While we still recommend starting your wedding planning journey by selecting your venue, hopefully, this shoot will encourage you to keep your options open and explore spaces that you may have overlooked before. Know that no matter where you are, your wardrobe and the overall design of your wedding have the ability to make any venue truly unique to who you are as a couple.
Terrie Nelson Design set out to show how versatile the incredible Bella Cosa Lakeside venue can be. Emily Rose Valentine totally got the vision and created unique bouquets for each of the bridal looks that not only complemented the gowns but changed the vibe of the wedding entirely. Ruth Terrero Photography took these beautiful photos that capture each of the looks and showcase how the same elements can be rearranged to create distinct celebrations. Bella Cosa Lakeside is a Florida wedding venue known for its Spanish architecture. This venue defined many of the aspects of this styled shoot for our team. We used darker colors to create rich and romantic setups, offsetting the lighter walls of Bella Cosa Lakeside. I loved exploring the nooks and crannies of the property, finding the perfect spots to capture our bridal models, as well as our couple. With our bold dress choices, even more of Bella Cosa Lakeside came to life.
For this shoot, we worked with 3 bridal models and a couple. Each had their own distinct look and style. I loved them all–and I don’t think I can pick a favorite!! One of our brides wore an off-the-shoulder gown that had the most fun polka dot textured overlay. Her dress was simple, but the overlay really brought some character to it! She carried a bouquet of dark pink flowers and long leafy greens, a nod to our Florida location. Our second bride had a strapless gown that had lots of fun layers to it. This dress was super fun because it was champagne. With her hair down and an all-white bouquet, this second look was a great modern choice. Our third bride wore a romantic wedding gown, with lots of gauze overlays. They wrapped around her and the gown creating a truly beautiful look for her. She carried a white bouquet with cascading greenery, which was the perfect addition to her bridal look. Finally, our last set of models had a truly one-of-a-kind look. This bridal model wore a bright blue gown that was over-the-top! With lots of layers and a dropped back, she looked absolutely stunning cozying up to her groom.
The details of the reception setup for this inspiration shoot are what really made it feel so romantic and fairytale-like. We created an intimate reception space outside, with a light blue tablecloth and lots of ivory, pink, and yellow flowers. These darker colors worked beautifully next to the light tan of the walls. Each place setting contained fresh berries and handwritten menus, to complement the handwritten invitations. Our reception space was complete with a five-tiered wedding cake that was marbled and had a coral and navy floral topper.
