This boho 70's style shoot took place over midsummer, in fact the early summer festival and freedom vibe that this time of year brings was an inspiration to the theme. The buttercups were out and the grass had grown long enough to sway gently in the wind. A lot of work, a dash of inspiration and whimsy, and all the elements kindly coming together on the day produced this very memorable result that you're bound to fall in love with!

From Dana Bolton I featured some of my new dresses that I had been working on with the promise of fields of flowers and long grasses running through my mind. I wanted, in particular, to work with our photographer Kirsten Mavric. We had collaborated on a shoot before and I knew I could trust her amazing eye for beauty. The style was soft whimsical boho but with a little nudge towards the 70's. The dresses are romantic and unstructured but still very much wedding dresses. Using some of the best silks and laces available the dresses are relaxed but still with a touch of luxe. The flower crown that Blue Sky Flowers made for our red haired model was and is in my opinion one of the best I have seen. We were so lucky to be offered the use of a friends home and land in the Hertfordshire countryside. Complete with its very own Tipi! It was a magical day every time I looked these two girls just took my breath away, so very beautiful. The gorgeous headband and hairpieces were made by Donna Crain another vendor I completely trust. The quality of her work is incredible. The long veil with a vintage lace juliet cap is something I made using silk tulle edged with delicate chantily lace, the juliet cap was made from three different pieces of genuine vintage lace.
