From Two Blue Shoes Photography : Bringing in an 80’s rustic feel, just like (Footloose), Emma wore her mom’s original prom dress, circa 1982, paired with neon pink earrings, gold accessories, modern heels and two different halos of flowers in her hair. Using elements of the 80’s with the groom’s attire, we focused on shape and line, including a square cut tie with a simple pattern and slim fit suit.
Records, cassette tapes, and an old boom box were used to accent the cake table, as well as gold tapes with each guest’s name and table number for escort cards. An easy DIY project that just requires a little gold spray paint and a sharpie!
Mixing in some rustic charm, our head table scape was adorned with sunflowers, and rustic greenery on a simple picnic bench. Playing on the music theme in the film, vintage record covers were used as chargers topped with simple plates and black accent stemware. Record shaped cookies with each guests name served as a favor.
A simple but beautiful naked cake was included to give a homemade country style cake with an upscale feel. Taking in all things 80’s and whimsical, we finished off with a vintage yellow VW bug with custom made cans to drag behind the couples getaway car.
