From WedPashalis Photography: The ancient castle of Aigosthenon in West Attica, located inside today’s coastal village of “Porto Germeno”, 450m from the sea, is the best-preserved fortress of classical Greece and one of the oldest castles in the world. The ancient citadel’s towers are considered amongst the tallest surviving towers of ancient Greece. This beautiful and mystical location seemed as the ideal destination for an inspirational and one of a kind photo shoot. The ruins that almost touch the nearby sea create a unique atmosphere and makes you travel in time.
When it came to choosing the colors, we instinctively chose the navy & the dusty blue of the sea, combined with the green of the olive groves, the stone-gray of the castle's walls, but also the beauty of the burgundy mansion which would stand out and intensify our palette.
The coffee & whiskey bar was placed at a marvelous sculptured spot where the sea had spilled the soil and created a natural cave consisting of the roots of the shrubs alone. Instead of tables, authentic vintage chests were used that brought their story back from the past and became our two separate lounge stools. One with the Nespresso machines and accompanying items such as cupcakes, cake pops, along with a naked cake, embellished with a pomegranate, and a three-tier blue colored cake in wavy texture, to match the seascape.
