This edgy styled shoot was held at Realm in Denver, Colorado — a brand new, modern "blank slate" style wedding venue with endless possibilities.
Velvet Armoire Floral + Event Design and a team of amazing Colorado wedding vendors brought this vision to life with concise frugality, but also a touch of camp where color and shapes wanted to rule! Most of the decor in the photos were handmade-the lavender phases of the moon installation hanging above the reception table, the copper pipe backdrop for the sweetheart table, and the hanging paper stars. You'll have to scroll down to see them all or peruse the full gallery here.
All the photos are by Colorado wedding photographer, Heather Jackson Photography. Read on to learn how the couple in the shoot was the real inspiration behind all these edgy wedding ideas.

From Velvet Armoire Floral + Event Design -This shoot was inspired by a bold and badass couple, Megan and Michael, who had just been married one week before. Due to an extremely windy wedding day in the mountains, they didn’t get the photos that they had hoped for.
That said, this shoot meant a lot to them, and they treated it as if it was as special as their very own day. They were both so excited at the opportunity to create art around their love with such a unique look, something somehow so different from their wedding day but so suited to them as a couple.
Meghan and Michael first bonded over their love for music at Michael's band's live show a few years ago, and their love grew quickly and effortlessly as they understood each other like true soulmates. Their first dance song "Truly Madly Deeply" was snuck into the playlist for the styled shoot and created a really special moment between the two of them to relive all over again.
created the super fun celestial-inspired place cards above. You can see a close up of these pretties on Cara's Instagram. The color scheme fits perfectly in with the whole vibe. Don't you think?
Cak the Bakery designed this simple yet incredibly stylish wedding cake for the celestial wedding. I went over and perused her site and found that she has incredibly fun DIY decorating kits. She offers a few different ones, but I was very interested in the DIY geode cake decorating kit. Not sure how mine would turn out, but it sounds fun.
