It doesn’t happen often, but when spring surfaces early in the Canadian Rockies, it’s cause for celebration. It’s equally special when a stunning new mountain wedding venue opens! Kim Payant Photography along with Naturally Chic and Willow Flower Co.. joined forces to create a styled wedding inspiration that highlighted both the beauty of Spring and the stunning new modern rustic venue, Creekside Villa.
We can only say so much about the breath taking views and the amazing reclaimed 125 year old barn wood wall, so we'll go ahead and let the photos do the talking. Scroll down for more inspiration from the Canadian Rockies, then be sure to check out the gallery here for even more images.
From Naturally Chic: The main inspiration for the design came from the venue itself. Creekside Villa is a stunning new wedding venue in Canmore with a modern, rustic aesthetic. One of their most beautiful features is a reclaimed wood wall made from 125 year old barn wood. This wall and their Restoration Hardware light fixtures made up the starting point for the design.
I aimed to balance the rustic components with pretty details, but nothing too overly feminine. Instead, I stayed with simplistic, elegant details. I chose a crisp, white napkin and wrapped the wood menu in a custom, engraved leather folio. I made an acrylic table number and place cards to mimic the ghost chairs, and used clear glass chargers with gold edging.
Long white tapers in crystal and gold candlestick holders, further echoed the design aesthetic. Sequin runners were chosen to further add a touch of sparkle and glam. Finally, natural shed deer antlers completed the modern, mountain design.
