Talk about a unique wedding theme! We never thought a coloring book wedding could be so darn pretty! From the coloring book inspired table numbers and wedding cake, to the gorgeous Hayley Paige wedding dress. There is just too much to love about this fun and colorful shoot from Ivory and Beau.
The blank space of the Welmont, an art gallery in Savannah, Georgia was the perfect backdrop for all the mismatched decor. One of our favorite details has to be the peg board dessert wall! Trust us, this shoot is full of unique ideas you have to see to believe, so be sure to swing on by the full gallery captured by Apt B Photography for more.
From Ivory and Beau: Inspired by a walk through a local market, this shoot is inspired by all things color! While walking through the local Paris Market (a super fun and unique shop here in Savannah) we found coloring book placemats that sparked our styled shoot. We wanted a blank space for our shoot, so the focus was on all of the flowers and details. The minute we saw the Welmont, a new art gallery, we knew we hit the jackpot. This space features huge moveable walls, that allowed us to create intimate spaces within the huge warehouse.
The brides bouquet was all white expect for a pop of pink peony and a few anemones. The bridesmaids wore colorful Jenny Yoo bridesmaids gowns, available at our store Ivory and Beau, so we kept their bouquet's simple with loose greenery. Each girl had a bold flower crown, which is one of our favorite things to make! The bride wore one of our newest Blush By Hayley Paige gowns, Scout. Scout features a large tulle skirt, with so many tiers of tulle, and a ballerina cut bodice with a sweetheart neckline and low back.
We moved the walls into a v shape for the ceremony, and created a giant cutout coloring book page on the wall. It was one of our biggest installations we have made, and covered over 8' of space! We lined the aisle way with multi-colored candles in brass candle stick holders and colorful confetti. The chairs were mismatched as well, using a variety of black, silver and white.
The second room featured a giant pegboard wall, so we wanted to tie that into the shoot, with the dessert table backdrop being a pegboard with shelving for each tasty treat! We utilized the large pegboard wall to add in loose blooms for extra color. The cake was made by Wicked Cakes, and is hands down my favorite we have had for a shoot! It mimicked our coloring book theme with outlined blooms, and some colored in pieces. We wanted the flowers to be bright and bold, but still have a lot of white to go with the space.
For a grand finale, we had a local ice cream truck, Jenni's Treats on the Street, come by for some tasty dessert! The space offers a great parking lot that is perfect for food trucks, one of our favorite new trends! It's such a great way to get guests outside, and interact, plus you get fresh food and dessert!
