When a wedding has two brides it is important that each of them shine in their own way and this inspiration shoot executes that idea perfectly! Both looks should be equal in formality and have complementary details without being too matchy-matchy. Before you and your fianceé even begin gown shopping, make sure you decide on that basic framework. Is your wedding look going to be black-tie, or more laid back? Are you going for structure or volume? Would something ornate complement your wedding design or something more minimalist? Then, with those elements in mind, you are ready to go shopping! Unless you two are the kind of couple that shares clothing, chances are you will select totally different designs–you may favor more slinky silhouettes where your fianceé likes a little more room for dancing. To make sure that you end up with different looks, consider shopping at different boutiques or if you do go to the same boutique, speak with the consultant ahead of time and they can help steer you in the right direction and away from anything that will match too closely or clash.
Vivid Occasions designed this beautiful eclectic wedding at the Chileno Bay Resort in Cabo and made sure that each bride was uniquely herself. Cascading floral canopies by Blush N' Roses set the scene at both the ceremony and reception spaces and these golden-hour photos by LA76 Photography have an otherworldly glow that is to die for! Hera Cinema was there to capture it all on film! You can see all of the images in the full gallery. Read on to hear more from photographer, Romana Lilic of LA76 Photography.
This gorgeous seaside wedding was designed for the couple who always dreamed of a fairytale wedding in an enchanting atmosphere. Fall in love with their enchanted forest ceremony and eclectic design! The word eclectic means composed of elements from different sources. In philosophy, it was used to describe ancient philosophers who did not belong to any recognized school. These definitions bond perfectly with this wedding’s design. This wedding style and concept was created by Emmanuel Vega from Vivid Occasions, a wedding planning & design company based in Los Cabos, Mexico.
Starting with Rose and Peyton’s wedding gowns, designed especially for this styled shoot by Baja-based fashion & wedding designer Leo Sicairo, each of them shared the character of its bride. Rose’s dress was minimal and elegant, with a long side slit, and Peyton’s dress was a princess style and covered with sparkles. Olga Bustos from Los Cabos Makeup complemented the dresses with a cashmere-matte makeup look for Rose and glorious sparkles for Peyton.
We chose elements from different wedding styles to create this inspiring design, from the modern chairs and glassware to a dramatic and romantic ceremony aisle. The contemporary and fun invitation suite and stationery design merge with the décor and pops perfectly from the minimalist plate setting. The ceremony concept was inspired by an enchanted forest path, with lots of texture and muted colors leading to a breathtaking view of the Sea of Cortez. Cabo-based destination wedding photographers LA76 Photography captured perfectly the enchanted forest feel of this intimate ceremony setup.
We chose a forest theme for their ceremony aisle, with vines creeping up and hanging to create a lowered ceiling to give that whimsical and intimate mood. Colored foliage, ferns, and leaves were used to give that magical feel. All blooms were designed by Blush N' Roses. After the ceremony, the newlyweds enjoyed a unique and delicious cocktail by Chileno Bay Auberge Resort’s Mixologist at the lounge overlooking the ocean. Once our brides were welcomed to the reception, an overhead installation was the statement piece that tied the enchanted forest theme from the ceremony to the dining room. We mixed it with a simpler, minimalistic tablescape, combining simple and monochromatic vases and candles with pops of colorful blooms. Candlelight was a must to create a warm, whimsical ambiance.
A VERSATILE VENUE
Chileno Bay Resort was the ideal wedding venue for this couple, simply the perfect mix between cool and elegant. The oceanfront deck is perfect for a ceremony, a small and secluded beach right in front of the Sea of Cortez–ideal for intimate weddings. Above the TNT bar, there’s a small cliff-perfect for cocktails during golden hour. Galleries at Comal was indisputably the best option for the wedding reception. Its high ceiling and white floors are the perfect canvas to create any type of design you have in mind. Finally, the food and drinks–their menu offers a unique experience for every single guest (think Mexican traditional dishes with a creative twist, made with local and organic ingredients). This styled shoot was truly inspirational and the entire team ended up dancing under the stars. Don’t miss the video by Hera Cinema!
