From Neverland Photography:
This luxurious, rustic affair was inspired by a quaint little community that is comprised of multiple little villages and hamlets, East Garafraxa. The inspiration itself was hidden in the history of the towns name, theories suggest East Garafraxa was named after the Scottish stream, the River Garry. A Scottish Affair tucked away in the rural countryside of Southern Ontario, a breathtaking property consisting of (to name a few) a lake, carriage house, and a converted barn, leaves you feeling like you are present in the heart of the Highlands. Our approach to this affair, was to delicately incorporate some hidden treasures of the Highlands while focusing on the elegance the countryside has to offer.
Our colour scheme was created around soft wintry feelings of creamy whites, rosey pinks and dusty blues offset with a vivid oxblood. The florals and stationary leave traces of femininity with touches of vibrant florals kissed with deep reds and wintry whites that are sealed with a flowing velvet ribbon, and gold wax. Delicate thistles make sweet little appearances throughout our day, it is no wonder these beautiful little florals hold a National title.
For the Ceremony, the antiquity of the barn compliments the wooden chairs and arbour while we romanticized the atmosphere with glowing pillar candles and floral accents. The table for the reception introduces indulgence to the old world. Drippings of gold silverware, delicate china, fresh figs, and pomegranates leave any guest feeling like a member of a royal feast.
Early winter in the hills, led us to an absolutely stunning dress with delicate lace sleeves and buttons climbing up the brides back leaving that little touch of old world regal sophistication. The back of the dress truly exudes luxury with its removable train that so gently hugs the waist, leaving any bride to feel like a princess at their very own royal wedding.
