Vintage glam meets Art Nouveau in this dramatic bridal luncheon at the Spanish Court at Longue Vue House & Gardens. Blue Gardenia and Mon Soleil Photography collaborated their talents along with an amazing team of vendors to bring all the inspiring ideas together into one cohesive look.
You know the saying, ‘it takes a village’, and that couldn’t be more true for this collaboration. From the vintage dresses all the way down to the table cloths, attention to detail was key in creating this one-of-a-kind look, and we LOVE IT <3. From Marissa Morrison: Swirls of chiffon, flashes of silk, and games of croquet made this bridal luncheon shoot a day to remember. Our inspiration for the shoot came from two places; the first being the Art Nouveau movement and the second being the Spanish Court at Longue Vue House & Gardens. The Spanish Court is a wonderful space with gardens fountains and an expansive lawn. The perfect setting for a bridal luncheon.
Further evoking the feeling and colors of the art nouveau movement, the color palette of the day was full of delicate pink and deep burgundy reds, complimented with cool blues. On the main table, a mix of lush bold florals wrapped themselves around antique crystal centerpieces, which met in the center with an impressively bold color-blocked centerpiece by Bees Wedding and Event Floral Designs. The choice of linen from La Tavola perfectly complimented the space with dusty pinks and a peacock motif.
The cake designed by Chasing Wang was the perfect centerpiece for the sweets table. To finish off the sweets table Salt Light & Pastry Company provided colorful macarons and gorgeous hand-painted cookies. All served along vintage plates and the perfect sparkling punch complete with floral ice cubes. To begin the day, inside the bridal suite at Longue Vue, Verde Beauty helped our lovely ladies get dolled up and into their leisurely kimonos provided by Century Girl. After laying about and looking lovely, Century Girl styled the ladies in lovely vintage frocks and dresses by Marchesa fashions. Now, it was time for the bridal luncheon, a picnic, and a game of croquet on the expansive lawn. To beat the summer heat, the ladies carried exquisite vintage umbrellas from Bella Umbrella. It was truly an amazing day full of color, laughter, beauty, and vintage dreams.
