The idea behind this styled shoot was to bring a destination to your home - essentially a destination wedding without traveling. This couple was initially supposed to get married in Italy however due to Covid-19 their plans were put on hold. To get a sneak peek of what their wedding would be their vendors put together a wedding shoot for them at a beautiful exclusive venue in Hong Kong called Solar Mansion. This wedding shoot is intimate and modern and overflowing with stylish details perfect for a micro-wedding.

For the style conscious, edgy & minimalist brides. Your wedding details should represent your taste and personal style. I love couples who spend the time to design their wedding details & make their weddings special. I got inspired by reflection, a minimalistic and contemporary micro wedding setting.
Stephanie and Johannes were supposed to get married in Italy however due to Covid, they had to put those plans on hold. So we created a wedding shooting to give the couple a sneak peek of how their wedding would be. They just signed their legal papers so we wanted to celebrate it with a beautiful shooting for the couple.
That the wedding shoot was in Hong Kong but the vision was to bring a Destination to your ‘home’ destination. Basically a destination wedding without traveling. This is why I got inspired by the “In the Mood of some Reflections” or “Modern Reflections” because with the covid situation, we need to adapt and reflect on whats important and do what we love but safely.
I've partnered up in September 2020 with Exclusive Venue. A premium venue provider that can give you access to those exclusive mansions that are nowhere to be found elsewhere. My business partner has great relationships with the landlords of those private villas and they let us rent it out for unique events, such as the weddings I am planning. So I am handling all of their weddings and we are currently working on expanding the platform to go worldwide so watch this space! The wedding venue Solar Mansion is one of the Villas that can be rented out for weddings and private celebrations. Its in Sai Kung, Hong Kong and overviewing a beautiful scenery.
As these were silk flowers, it was more about matching the color palette than the actual flower selection like you would do in a real flower bouquet. We didn't have to consider what was in season or not but just to focus on matching it to our style and mood. The couple wanted to stay sustainable and stay waste-less so we chose this option. I only recommend working with high-quality silk flowers because its important for the aesthetics still that there's no way they look fake. Once Wedding did such a great job in not only arranging high-quality silk flowers but as well to maintain properly so they look fresh at all times.
I wanted to create a table that was fully covered with a mirror surface. It was my vision to play with reflection. So I just went minimalistic and only worked with gold and black. I sourced the back plates with golden rim, the geometric shaped glassware, golden cutleries, golden napkins that would match the golden candle holders with the black long candles. I wanted to create a chic table so I only added little black leaves to give it more of a wedding look. It’s definitely for the modern and chic bride as we added the final touches with the transparent ghost chairs.
We lined up the seating with 1 guest per side per row. This was due to covid and to respect not just the social distancing but as well to make everyone comfortable.
The cake made by Symphony Cakes was so beautiful because it included beautifully crafted edges, light delicates and geometric shapes. Modern, unique and contemporary chic. The cake was surrounded by Lunaria which represents honesty and sincerity. This ethereal and otherworldly silver pods add an unique dimension to a neutral design of the cake. Rice papers were used to achieve the paper-thin texture of the lunaria petals and then each petal is adorn with 23k gold dust. The edible lunaria sprigs complemented the handpainted hexagonal fondant cake perfectly.
Yes, we invited Sovos Perfumery to have a Sanitizer Bar. We had a DIY scent station where we were able to create our own hand sanitizers. That was a great favor and the labels was customized as well based on the couple's name and wedding date!
