Brimming with color and modern flair, this next shoot came together with a crew of vendors led by the event planning gurus of Bright Side Events. They incorporated bold pops of bright and dark elements throughout the design which took place at Sole Repair Shop, located in the heart of Seattle’s most popular neighborhood, Capitol Hill.
Brittney Hyatt captured their vision as it unfolded, and we have to say we couldn’t be more excited to share this with all our modern brides out there. Ombré florals and a gorgeous jumpsuit + cape combo for the bride really give this shoot a unique vibe, and just wait till you see the elegant and moody table below! So, so pretty. Oh and the full gallery is definitely worth a look over, so enjoy!
From the acrylic chargers that doubled as place cards, to the ombré florals and freshly cut fruit, our team really went for something fun, bright, and modern to showcase our work in this shoot. We chose Sole Repair Shop as our backdrop and home base, which is located in the heart of Capitol Hill in Seattle, one of the most popular neighborhoods in the city. Capitol Hill alone exudes color throughout its streets- literally, the crosswalks have rainbows on them, so it was the perfect setting to bring in this design which had so much life and color to it! Brittney Hyatt captured every single image so perfectly and really reflected what we were going for.
Sole Repair has a great mix of industrial yet modern style between the steel beams, fire doors, and an organic wooden wall, which is perfect for any ceremony backdrop. Playing off of our bright theme here, Leah Erickson Floral brought in the brightness with a mirrored half circle backdrop for the ceremony using yellow bloom foliage. She then paired that with an ombré bouquet and centerpiece to really make the florals pop. Adding in CORT Party Rental's new line of flatware, we incorporated chrome + black flatware, stone black plates, velvet napkins, and those custom calligraphed acrylic chargers to finish the table design. For dessert, Saltadena brought the heat with a square, one-tiered cake adding yet another modern hint to the entire shoot.
Our real couple came into the day ready to rock it with him in a black tux and her in a show-stopping jumpsuit + cape combo from The Dress Theory. The jumpsuit look was something we wanted to really incorporate the modern bride feel. We also had a fun guest on site with us- Bernie, the couples corgi. He too was dressed to the nines in his custom tux.
