A seaside wedding at sunset makes for the most romantic backdrop. Different shades of white glow amongst the setting sun while the Bride and Groom fall in love all over again, exchanging vows and enjoying their time together; just the two of them. The bride is wearing a stunning Millanova wedding dress and the groom is head to toe in a chic white suit. Gawking over the florals fit for a boho queen! This Croatian wedding is simply a couple's elopement dream!

When first exploring the venue of Kempinski Hotel Adriatic in Istria, the wedding planner AAnna Schulz Weddings created the concept, "Shades of White" in her head. The idea behind this concept was to express a beautiful wedding set up in white - with different colors, textures, and elements. Where else to make it happen than at the Croatia Adria coastline?
Istria is a very diverse area in Croatia, easy to reach, and multi-faceted. Lined with beautiful pine trees and vineyards, it almost feels like Tuscany, but the Croatian Mediterranean airiness comes across no matter where you go.
Overlooking the Istrian Adriatic sea, the location of the Kempinski Hotel Adriatic merges perfectly into the region. From the hotel, you can see Slovenia and on bright days, you can discern the coastline of Italy. Especially the private beach section right by the sea is the perfect place to celebrate an intimate wedding.
The goal of the photoshoot was to create a wedding setup that fits perfectly into the existing surrounding of the location. We picked the beach as the place for a very private ceremony, using the rocky coastline and naturally dried out nature as a stage for a modern flower installation. When speaking their vows, the couple would look right over the ocean with its beautiful sunset, having nobody to disturb, but the waves.
Overall, the staging of this setting was a German-Croatian Fusion. Flowers and decor elements came from the local vendor Studio Brzak Weddings and Events. We used modern elements such as flower clouds to give the space a cozy look and feel. All elements were handpicked and merged together perfectly.
On the table, you could not only find beautiful centerpieces made with a mixture of fresh and dried flowers, but also find local elements like shells used as name tags. The lighting was a real highlight, as the open space was only surrounded by hundreds of fairy lights, making the dinner set-up even more comfortable. A small impact with a great effect.
