This luxurious eco-chic Chateau is located just under an hour’s drive from Prague on the edge of the beautiful St George Forest, itself wreathed in legends. Mcely is a picturesque village with original, historical wooden buildings and a 16th-century Baroque church; the ideal location to escape from the city rush into a romantic dream. For centuries the village of Mcely has been famous in Bohemia as the location of the Marian Miracles, the most famous of which happened in 1849, when, according to surviving documents, the Queen of Heaven appeared to three orphans.
The magical Chateau takes our breath away with amazing interiors and exteriors, which makes it the ideal location for the intimate styled wedding shooting of Eva and Stephan. The styling of this shoot is inspired by the Chateau’s surroundings and romantic setting. Elements of gold from the Chateau décor compliment the delicate spring flowers and budding branches which draped the interior of the Golden Hall in subtle tones of yellow, white, coral and emerald green designed by floral stylist Caitlin E., of The Velvet Poppy. Hand dyed ribbons made of silk and gauze table runner and napkins by Wisteria and Vine create a beautiful contrast and add unique texture to the dining table décor and bridal bouquet.
Eva is wearing a 1940’s bridal fashion inspired dress by Yoora Studio. Yoora Studio is a young Slovak fashion brand founded by fashion designer Zuzana Kedroňová. The brand offers a comprehensive collection of wedding dresses, each piece being an original. All designs are connected by one thread which is the use of naturally certified material: organic and peace silk, lace made with organic cotton and the lining of the dresses made with satin bamboo – viscose fiber. The brand focuses on an individual approach and customization of models to the specific needs of the clients. The dress is paired with a relaxed gold sandal designed by Eva Klabalová, a freelance shoe designer from Slovakia who uses a combination of creative techniques including hand carved leather and 3D printing in her designs. Stephan is wearing a tailor-made suit by Salon BIZARRE, based out of Bratislava.
All suppliers for this shoot are either Czech or Slovak based designers with a focus on uniqueness and sustainability. The earrings, wedding bands and rings, worn by Eva and Stephan are made by Prague based luxury goldsmith Lenka Kerlická, founder of 27 Jewelry. Each hand-crafted piece of jewelry by Lenka embodies the movement of life’s unrepeatable moments to be passed on through generations. The cake elegantly designed for this occasion by Prague City Cakes uses sugar flowers and bas relief. Each luxury cake is customized for each event using inspirations from the art, music, architecture, and life around us. Wedding invitations and stationery for this event were custom made by Patricie Dřímalová, owner of Atelier Made.
Photography is by fine art photographer Lenka Grabincová of Our Human Stories, her approach to visually capture the important moments in life are inspired by her background with fashion and documentary. The photos are visually strong with a timeless style that captures the moment shared between the couple and their surroundings. Cinematography by Viktor Karban captures the movement, creativity, and romance of this event. Viktor’s view is through an artistic lens and brings a focus on documentary storytelling into his commercials, films and cinematic projects. The hair and makeup by Katarína Zuzulová uses techniques of combining colors and subtle hues to highlight the natural beauty of models Kristína Roháčeková, from Mix model management, and Michal Detko.
