It's the most wonderful time of the year for a winter wedding! Winter weddings are always distinctive. They are unique and beautiful with everything the season has to offer and it’s definitely the perfect occasion to celebrate the season and throw the best celebration ever.

The weather outside may not always look sunny and bright, and might look nostalgic, but the truth is that there is something magical about foggy, rainy and chilly days. You still can host a charming wedding with fascinating decoration and gorgeous flowers.

Mysterious Sintra is a small village known for its own weather and the beautiful gardens and landscapes. It’s a village full of palaces, castles, monasteries, churches, parks and properties with wonderful stories.

Casa dos Penedos it’s an enchanted little palace right in the middle of the village and a perfect location for an intimate wedding.

We love small weddings, especially during this season! There is something particular about celebrating with your close family and friends, whilst it’s raining and cold outside. It makes the whole atmosphere look nicer and very romantic.

The cold and rainy weather normally keeps everyone indoors feeling cozier, especially if there is a fire-pit.

Green, Red, Burgundy and Gold are essential to transmit the full vibe of the wedding. Of course, greenery is a natural and easy choice for a winter wedding and garlands with red details are a classic.

Frida Kahlo used vibrant colors in her paintings and used to wear crowns of flowers. She is a symbol of passion and dedication, which was in part an inspiration for this photoshoot.

A winter table can be set in enormous ways. We gave preference to a big flower arrangement in the center and some smaller flower details in handmade ceramic pots. Handmade painted and calligraphed menus, is something that fully transmits exclusivity. The minimalist tableware allows you to mix other special items such as patterned napkins and strong color arrangements and candles.

A large evergreen ceremony backdrop offers the final touch to the room, surrounded by lighted candles in white, red and gold. Inspired by seasonal wreaths at home, an arch for the ceremony full of greenery and a touch of season flowers are the perfect match to exchange your vows.

Winter dresses can be fun and spectacular and with a fur stole the bride will look gorgeous, with a classy cold-weather look. Black tie gowns are becoming very popular during the winter and a chic look is perfect for the day special. The simple match between the red boutonnière and the black background suits the groom in a classy and elegant way.

Add a bit of seasonal texture, velvet for example, in the bride shoes and use it as the "something new." Gold jewelry is always contemporary and the best choice for a bride to wear, they can be modern and minimalist and will always provide a refined look.

The wedding cake with icing sugar resembles the snow and a little wreath also inspired by the full vibe of the season with dry flowers and branches.
The invitations in white cotton paper sets the tone for the big day, added with a festive motif to the stationery immediately says, ‘Winter is here!’.
