The Gown

The Memphis gown by Vagabond Bridal provided by Unbridaled has an uber cool square neckline, contemporary lace, boned corset, trapeze skirt and pockets, the ultimate modern bride piece! When putting the details of this shoot together I wanted the dress to steal the show. The bridal bouquet by Leaf + Petal NOLA were the perfect accent to this dress.

The Venue

The Marigny Opera House is the perfect locale for a vintage affair. Walking into the space it is grand and has patinated beautiful with age. Meshing this beautiful contemporary dress with the beautiful patina venue was an easy design. We mixed period pieces of furniture from Lovegood Wedding & Event Rentals to ensure the layout of the room was proportional and created flow. As many antique items are made from heavy materials like wood, we lightened up the room with soft color floral, vintage lounge furniture and sleek matte gold metals.

The Cake Bar

The cake bar was the perfect mix of modern and a touch of wafer. Boasting four cakes in an array of shapes and size, designed by Chasing Wang one with soft pastel wafer paper, floral textures, a mini yellow cake with simple neutral florals, a two tiered mixed height and vertical crinkle delicate pattern with simple floral placement and a classic white cake with a modern twist on floral placement, we can't decide which one is our favorite.
