From I Do's by Dawn:The inspiration for this style shoot was Jane Austen and her epic love story of Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy (In Pride and Prejudice) I went more offbeat with my approach by using models that were the opposite of your typical “Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy” and made sure to include plenty of subtle nods to the book nerds/lovers, all while still creating a very romantic overall look and feel. I wanted it to be intimate, romantic, and personalized. I had a clear vision of what I wanted and the amazing creatives who worked alongside me helped bring it to life.
The bride wore a stunning vintage dress with scalloped lace neckline, lace sleeves, and silk train with an additional attachable lace train.
The sweets table was a cute little white desk with a mirror and created a very unique view on the cake, which was a naked cake with lavender touches and a book page heart on top. The cupcakes had hand crafted flowers on top and looked too good to eat.
The stationery displayed quotes and cute phrases/words such as ‘Epic Love Story’, ‘Handkerchiefs: For Happy Tears’, ‘Confetti: For Happy Cheers’, ‘Book Lovers never go to bed alone’, ‘Yum!’ and Jane Austen famous quotes.
The flowers used were a perfect combination of classic & unique. The bouquets and centerpieces were made up of roses (blush, lavender, ivory), astible (pink, white), lavender and blue bell thistle. The breathtaking floral arch was made of heather and baby’s breath.
Models Cody and Alisha are a real-life married couple. She's a musician and he's a tattoo artist so their naturally creative look added a special flare to our shoot. She wore a custom vintage headband and necklace with locket while he had custom cufflinks with a Jane Austen quote.
