With an uptick in elopements, we're seeing the LWD (Little White Dress) come back in a big way, and no era did that better than the '60s. So, it's no wonder that when they were deciding on an inspiration for this elopement shoot that this team looked to that mod generation for a little bit of help. From the mini trench dress and the white tuxedo to the cute as can be chapel and vintage car, this shoot gives the perfect subtle nod to the '60s while still keeping it modern.
Against the bright crisp white, bright pink florals by Full Vase Decor bring flower power to this shoot; so much so that there are flowers are running up the stairs of the chapel and literally bursting out of the couple's getaway car! These beautifully saturated photos by Cacie Carroll don't shy away from color, making each image really pop. Alyssa And Co Events worked closely with the team to find this quaint little chapel and organize the rest of the details from this fun inspiration shoot. Wanna see more? My original idea for this styled shoot was to have Andréa + Andrew (a past bride and groom of mine) come straight out of a town hall–New York-style with a grand staircase covered in florals, and head out to their getaway car (also filled with florals). Unfortunately, we couldn't find a venue with these specific requirements, we did find the next best thing! Propped in downtown Vaughan is a wedding venue, The Doctor's House which has a main building with a sweet chapel out back! It was PERFECT for what we needed.
I was inspired by everything luxe and the '60s. We had a Dior headscarf, Jimmy Choo heels, and bright florals busting out everywhere. We opted for a shorter dress complimented by More 2 Love Bridal's cropped veil. We started at The Doctor's House chapel, then headed to the side street where their getaway car, from Auto Classico, was waiting.
