I have been in an health exercise challenge group for the past month and I'm about to go on vacation. While packing for my vacation, I came to the conclusion that pausing my routine might put me in a slump. Yes, I just want to veg out all day, but deep down I know that starting up again will be super hard. I am sure you can agree. All that sweating for the wedding you're doing, don't stop now. Instead of going on hiatus while on honeymoon/vacation, just follow our 5 easy tips that will keep you on track.
Before you scroll down, we must share a tid bit about the dreamy destination above. You are gazing at Mauritius, an Indian Ocean island nation. Known for its beaches, lagoons and reefs, it's a perfect honeymoon spot! Apparently there are rainforests, waterfalls, hiking trails and wildlife like the flying fox. Mauritius, we would love to come explore you and hang out in the ocean like Camps Bay Girl below.
Hide the mini bar key! Before you even get to your destination, it's really smart to plan ahead. Pack healthy options to snack on and you'll be less likely to open up that mini bar.
We curated 10 packable healthy snacks that you can toss in your suitcase. Perfect for a late night snack in the hotel room, ideal for sitting on the beach when you are feeling peckish, and excellent options for a snack while exploring. Having snacks handy is key!

2. Crispy Fruit

Drink black coffee. Chances are you are going to be indulging in some lovely meals while on your honeymoon. A great way to cut a few calories for all that food is to switch from coffee with sugar and cream to black coffee.
If you did this every day for a year, you'd save more than 75,000 calories. It all adds up. Just a fun fact.
Plan your routine ahead of time. We know that you're exhausted from planning the wedding, and the last thing you want to do is organize a fitness routine. However, I guarantee that going in with a plan of attack well help you stay motivated. Usually I just pack my shoes and plan on hitting the hotel gym. Unfortunately I never make it down there. Why? Because I really don't have a plan.
Remember ... it's only a small portion of your day and can make a world of difference in the long run. I plan on alternating between a circuit workout and sprint intervals. Both workouts are below. You're welcome!
If you are new to sprint intervals, this is a great place to start. If you are already in tip top shape, we suggest adding more incline to your intervals instead of time.
Skinny up your cocktails! Recently on a girls weekend, one of my friends was mixing up her signature cocktail. Not only was it refreshing, but it had fewer calories than a Moscow Mule. Which has 320 calories by the way.
Here is how to order her signature skinny honeymoon cocktail while on your honeymoon. You'll find it to be delicious and again barely has any calories. You can drink 5 and not feel guilty. Just kidding, don't drink 5! Thanks Courtney!

Sometimes, the body can confuse thirst with hunger. By staying hydrated, you can help differentiate between true hunger and thirst, reducing the likelihood of unnecessary snacking or overeating.
Digestion and Nutrient Absorption: Drinking enough water supports digestion by breaking down food and aiding in nutrient absorption. This ensures your body efficiently extracts essential nutrients from your meals
Temperature Regulation: Adequate hydration helps regulate body temperature, ensuring that your body functions optimally and burns calories efficiently.
Detoxification: Drinking water aids in the elimination of waste products and toxins from your body, supporting healthy organ function and potentially facilitating weight loss.
One treat a day! For this week allow yourself one treat a day. Whether it be a tasty soft serve this watercolor ice cream cone, one of my personal faves, or whatever you desire!
Remember, vacations are a time to relax and enjoy yourself, so it's okay to indulge in moderation. Focus on making balanced choices that align with your overall health goals while still savoring the unique experiences your destination has to offer.
