The inspiration for this design came from the Wedding Paper Divas for no particular reason, the bride was just drawn to the simple, clean and modern design.Everything was very geometric, borrowing from Bauhaus artwork from the 30’s & 40’s. Kristin with The Treasured Petal did an amazing job of taking our ideas and running with them.
Joyful Weddings And Events found fun ways to incorporate their personalities into the wedding. During the cocktail hour, guests each received a quiz about the bride and groom. Jill & Harry then answered the questions during dinner. Guests loved this! We also included a little British heritage into the wedding: along with the amazing cake, we served a Victoria Sponge Cake, which is a British favorite. As a nod to their favorite past time, guests received a deck of cards personalized with the “w + t” logo that popped up in numerous places through the wedding. They also received a cadbury chocolate bar- direct from England, via Jill’s suitcase.
This wedding is a great example of how inspiration can come from any where. If a bride is having a hard time deciding on a color scheme or decor ideas, Joyful Weddings And Events tells them not to worry, but to find something that they love and go from there. In this instance, it was an invitation. Jill never would have chosen the colors & motifs that she did, but she just went with an invitation that she was drawn, to and an incredible wedding design grew out of that.
