Social distancing has forced many couples with a 2020 wedding date to make tough choices, with some deciding to postpone, or even fully cancel their nuptials. And while a change in plans will not cast a shadow on the lifetime of happiness ahead, it does make celebrating more difficult right now. Busch beer is already entrenched in the wedding celebrations of its fans, and today the brand announced a small consolation for couples who’ve been forced to change weddings plans this year—a chance to win Busch for a year!*

After years of being tagged in wedding photos, in 2019 Busch brand spokesperson, Busch Guy, officiated the wedding of one lucky couple and brought along a $25,000 gift towards their big day. But this year with so many couples across the country forced to adjust to the current situation, the brand is now providing a chance to win a different kind of gift. Whether couples ran to city hall to say “I do” or are postponing until another time when they can gather friends and family, the gift of Busch will allow couples to focus on what really matters—each other—and cheers all year long.
“Wedding season is approaching and we’ve seen many stories of couples having to adjust and cancel their plans. Busch still wanted to offer these couples a chance for a wedding gift and a reason to celebrate their love regardless of our unprecedented situation,” says Daniel Blake, VP, Value Brands at Anheuser-Busch. “Last year, we were inspired by the incredible number of fans who were making Busch a part of their wedding day. Any couple whose wedding plans have changed in 2020 can simply post a photo of themselves and tell Busch how they’re still planning to celebrate along with the hashtags #BuschWeddingGift and #Sweepstakes for a chance to win. Submissions are open from April 15 – May 1, 2020, and 250 winners will be chosen.
For those not getting married, you can still get involved in the celebration. Simply tag someone who you know that was set to tie the knot this year for your chance to win other fun prizes from Busch beer using #MyFriendsWedding and #Sweepstakes . Entries are open from April 15 – May 1, 2020.
