Elizabeth and Harry met when they were both on separate ski trips to Vermont with friends. It was New Year’s Eve, and Elizabeth and her friend were turned away from local bars and events that night for not having purchased tickets ahead of time. However, the two friends convinced the owner of a local Italian restaurant to stay open so they could drink champagne and watch the ball drop. Just before midnight, Harry and his friend were the only other people to walk into the restaurant that evening, and the rest was history! On a long weekend away at the Finger Lakes of New York, Harry proposed on a quiet walk to the lake one morning with coffee and the stunning lake views.

This delightful Vermont wedding honored the place where Elizabeth and Harry first met, fell in love, and where they’ve shared countless memories. The venue was built upon Vermont’s stunning landscapes, highlighting the rustic natural elements and the simple elegance of the space. The idyllic green Vermont mountains welcomed guests to a serene weekend at the Topnotch Resort. Picture-perfect clouds were in place for their mountain view ceremony, and the couple’s dog joined the wedding party procession with a leash decorated in swags of greenery. This resort setting was so naturally beautiful - it was honestly hard to believe that the horses grazing in the distance as the couple said their vows weren't planned!
The reception space utilized elements of natural woods in the open-air tent, while greenery installations floated above. Pops of peaches and blues in the arrangements and decor complemented the warmth of a July afternoon. The couple created a DIY ski lift-inspired seating chart where handmade ski passes hung on a decorated trellis. Elizabeth capped the night off in style in a sparkling mini dress and tennis shoes, and to end the evening, the couple made their way to the Ben & Jerry's late-night ice cream truck.
