Kiara and Josh are young and artsy people who love the great outdoors. He's from New York, and she's from Montana. This college sweethearts mostly spend their quality time camping, hiking, snorkeling, or beach bumming. 'Fancy' is not their style, and they wanted their photography shoot to reflect their playful and adventurous personalities. During the day of their shoot, this duo is so at ease, which made their session super special! Instead of pondering about 'ideal photography checklists,' Kiara and Josh treated their shoot like a regular date. They genuinely spent their quality time together while trusting me as their photographer. The whole session felt like it was my canvas, and I'm so glad that this couple let me became the artist while they're having fun together!

The venue was an airstream named Breezy. It exuded a fresh retro vibe that fits the artsy and outdoorsy personalities of Kiara and Josh. The couple posed for camping photos, drank coffee, laughed, held each other's hands, and gazed at their lover's eyes. They literally have quality time like they normally would, which added an authentic atmosphere to the whole session.

When I'm doing photography sessions, I always encourage my couples to show something significant in their relationship. This is the inspiration behind this shoot: Kiara and Josh are both adventurous, so we decided to take their pictures in an airstream representing what they love doing. If you love to surf, go surfing and bring your photographer with you! If you love fancy date nights, go dress up glamorously during your engagement session! Think of the activities that you love doing as a couple and bring that to your shoot. It will make the session appear more authentic, and it will be easier for you to feel at ease and have some fun!
