POV: It’s the week of your wedding and you realize that you forgot to order table numbers and menus. Don’t worry, it’s more common than you think. Last-minute details like that can really make a wedding come together, and if it slipped your mind fear not, the solution is waiting for you just around the corner (literally). Of course, you know that FedEx Office has you covered for all your work printing needs but did you know they have a ton of designs that are PERFECT for weddings?!? Well, they do and we decided to try them out for you…
We created a welcome sign, menus, bar sign, and table numbers. No graphic design skills or fancy editing software, no problem! You can design everything on the FedEx Office website and it’s super easy to use, it only took a matter of hours to design them and order the prints. Two days later, we were picking it up (If you dont have a FedEx Office local to your location, you can always have it shipped pretty quickly too). Find a local FedEx Office Here.
Here’s how we did it…
There are so many different options when it comes to displaying your welcome sign–from display easels to frames, but we especially love hanging signs. We went with a Gator Board, which is the most heavy-duty option FedEx Office offers in posters. This is a great option especially if you’re having your sign outdoors, it makes it more sturdy to withstand weather and wind.
We ordered this gold metal arch from Amazon for our beautiful FedEx Office sign. We played off our design and secured the sign with ribbons. To create the hanging effect, we had to drill a couple holes–it was pretty easy, just make sure you measure before you start drilling and use your drill on a low speed. We also included some white parasol umbrellas for guests to take upon entering the ceremony. This is a great option if you have an outdoor wedding in the sunshine.
You’ll never believe it but this bar sign cost just $7 to make! You can’t even get a latte for that price these days, let alone, something that is such a crucial part of your wedding decor. We started with a Full Color Pedestal Sign from the FedEx Office design studio and customized it with our own graphics. To add a little more color, texture, and depth to the bar, we created a pressed-flower acrylic arch to put behind it.
It only took about 30 minutes (and less than $20) to put together the acrylic arch and we feel like it really added to the display. Did you know you can order pressed flowers on Amazon? Here are the ones we ordered. We found the arched acrylic sign at Hobby Lobby for $2.99 and used the wooden stand from this $1.79 package. To apply the flowers, we used tweezers and Gorilla Glue (the gel kind so it dries clear). The flowers are super light and delicate, so the tweezers made it easy to pick up each flower.
We found a vintage bar cart and used a mix of vintage cocktail glasses along with some new ones we ordered from Fable to create our bar. To top it off, we ordered a peach-colored table runner and draped it over the cart.
1. Work together with your wedding bartender. Some couples do a twist on their favorites and others describe what they like and let their bartender come up with something custom.
2. Get inspired by your favorite cocktail bar or restaurant in town. This is what we did! We went out for happy hour one night together and fell in love with a couple amazing cocktails from a restaurant that just opened.
3. Find recipes on our website–here are 20 of our faves that would be a hit for a signature cocktail!
The menus that FedEx offers come in a variety of sizes and paper types, they even offer water-resistant paper (which is great when you have your menus near drinks!). We went with the 4x9 menu because we loved the way the proportions looked with our round plates.
A menu may not seem like a necessity but trust us when we say it really adds a special touch to your tablescape–and these ones were only 54 cents each! So yeah, it’s a no-brainer. And before you think it’s too good to be true, we can tell you from experience, the quality is incredible! The colors were beautiful, the print quality was literally perfect and the paper was high quality and thick.
For the table numbers, we ordered the Full Color Pedestal Signs from FedEx Office and they came with pedestals, so they stood up on their own and looked beautiful next to our floral centerpieces.
